Steam and the Epic Games Store publish identical core specifications for the Windows PC version; Steam additionally states the performance targets for each tier. The table below lists exactly what the stores published, checked on August 29, 2026. Click a column header to sort.

Reading the store targets correctly

The 30 FPS and 60 FPS figures are store-stated targets, not benchmark results. Steam describes the minimum tier as delivering 30 FPS at 1920x1080 on the Low preset, and the recommended tier as 60 FPS at 1920x1080 on Ultra. Epic's spec block confirms the same hardware rows but does not restate the frame targets in the section we could read.

Treat these numbers as the developers' intent for each configuration tier. Real-world results depend on drivers, background load and in-game scenes, and no independent performance patch notes have been published since launch. When a substantial performance update lands, we will re-check both store pages and update this table.

Storage: 75 GB on an SSD

Both stores list 75 GB of available space, and both mark an SSD as required rather than recommended. That makes the install one of the more demanding parts of the spec sheet — if your drive is tight, clearing 80 GB or so is a safe target before starting the download.

The SSD requirement also means older hard-drive-only setups are outside the published specification. We have no official guidance on how the game behaves from a hard drive, and we won't speculate; the store wording is the only public statement.

Minimum tier: what it gets you

The minimum tier is built around quad-core CPUs like the Ryzen 3 3100 and Core i3-12100, paired with a 6 GB-VRAM card from the GTX 1060 / RX 5500 XT generation. Sixteen gigabytes of RAM is required even at this tier, which is worth noting for older 8 GB systems — RAM is often the cheapest upgrade on the path to playable.

Steam's own description sets expectations at 1080p, Low preset, 30 FPS. If your hardware sits at this level, treat dips in the island's denser combat and puzzle chambers as expected, and use the game's difficulty and assistance options rather than resolution scaling guesses — no official upscale modes are documented yet.

Recommended tier: what it gets you

The recommended tier moves to a Ryzen 5 5600X or Core i5-12400F with an 8 GB-VRAM RX 6700 XT or RTX 3060 Ti. RAM stays at 16 GB, DirectX 12 stays constant, and the storage requirement is unchanged. Steam ties this tier to 1080p on the Ultra preset at 60 FPS.

Since both tiers share the same 16 GB RAM and SSD requirements, the meaningful jump from minimum to recommended is the graphics card. Players with a mid-range GPU from the last few years are likely between the two rows of the table; the game's graphics presets are the practical lever, though preset lists themselves are not itemized on the store pages.

Handhelds and laptops

The stores publish no compatibility matrix for hardware below the minimum tier. That includes low-power laptop GPUs, integrated graphics, the Steam Deck and Windows handhelds. The Xbox ecosystem's Handheld Optimized designation covers Xbox-ecosystem handhelds playing the Xbox version — it says nothing about Steam Deck verification, which does not exist for this title as of August 29, 2026.
