The same announcement confirms day-one Xbox Game Pass availability and Xbox Play Anywhere support. Focus's community team mirrored the news with a launch-day post that reads, simply, "Resonance is out!".

The game's official product page lists the release date as 08/27/2026 alongside its platform line-up, and Asobo Studio is credited as the developer with Focus Entertainment Publishing as the publisher. In practical terms, everything a shopper sees today — Add to Cart on Steam, Buy Now on Epic, purchase buttons on the console stores — reflects a released game, not a pre-order state.

Store-by-store release dates

All major official stores agree on August 27, 2026, with one visible exception. During our August 29, 2026 check, Epic's page displayed 08/28/26. We report the difference rather than quietly normalizing it, because no official explanation covers it — it may relate to store regions or time zones, but that has not been confirmed.

Where it launched

The launch line-up covers three platform families: PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. On PC, Focus named Steam and the Epic Games Store in its announcement, and the Xbox/Microsoft Store also sells a PC version under Xbox Play Anywhere. What the stores confirm is the calendar date; what they do not publish is an hour-by-hour global unlock schedule. Our checks covered Focus's global pages, the US Xbox store, the Hong Kong PlayStation Store and both PC stores, and several regions showed the released game on their local August 27. No official source we reviewed states whether unlocks were timed to local midnight, a single global hour, or anything in between.

That gap matters for one reason: the Epic page's 08/28/26 display cannot be explained from public pages alone.
